I have been playing music in and around 25 - 30 years, starting with classical violin at the age of 6. I also played classical piano and also trumpet in a brass and reed band, but guitar has always been my instrument of choice, but i certainly give as much time to the piano and traditional Irish fiddle.
My biggest problem in music is that i love so many different genres of music, everything from Black Metal to Classical and Light Opera from World Music to Electronic, from Irish Traditional to New Age and Celtic, and thats just scraping the surface. "ANCIENT LAMENTS" was not just my first solo recording, but also my first attempt at music production so it is really just a little experiment for my production practice and also to see if i can find a common ground to incorporate the many different styles of music that i love.
My first full length album "SILENT HORIZONS" is was released in early 2013. It features 11 original tracks that range from folk and Irish traditional to epic orchestral and cinematic and from rock and melodic metal to electronic and world.
I have been busy the last few years working on cinematic soundtrack/trailer music and trying to enhance my production skills for this genre.
I hope to release a lot of tracks over 2018.
2018 will also see the launch of my new Cinematic Celtic Metal project. A 3-track EP is almost complete and many tracks for a follow-up full length album are also near completion. Lots to look forward to in 2018.

Metal and Rock: Shredding, Sweeping, Tapping, Riffing and all things nice ;)
Irish Folk and Traditional: I use mainly DADGAD tuning for accompanying Irish traditional music and fingerpicking folk.
I also use 'Orkney' tuning on some of the tracks on 'SILENT HORIZONS'.
Classical and Flamenco: I have done some training in these styles and use some of these techniques in my own recordings.
Various: Blues, Reggae, Pop,

I learned classical piano as a child. But I have been improvising with many acts on keyboards for over 20 years.

Rock, Pop, Blues, Metal (Symphonic Metal, Gothic Metal, Industrial).
VIOLIN (FIDDLE):
I learned classical violin as a child, but now I focus mainly on Irish Traditional Fiddle.
I also play a little bit of Bluegrass, Gypsy, Folk, Pop, Rock.

I also perform vocals/backing vocals and play whistles, banjo, mandolin, bouzouki, djembe, bodhrán and bass guitar on my own recordings.
